Chatterbox adds cutting-edge technology to aid in rehabilitation therapy and treatments
LENEXA, Kan., May 5, 2016 Mediware Information Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of software for healthcare and human service providers and payers, announced today that its MediLinks 2016 rehabilitation software is now being used at the Chatterbox Pediatric Therapy Center headquartered in Boise, ID.
MediLinks 2016 Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapy Software is a web based solution that allows for practice management, scheduling, documentation, charge capture and reporting, along with tools to reduce denials and keep every practice compliant. The MediLinks’ emphasis on workflow and team collaboration is ideal for the unique needs of Chatterbox. The center employs 26 therapists who provide a wide range of speech, language and occupational therapy services to children from birth-21 years of age. Chatterbox focuses on highly individualized assessments and comprehensive treatment plans for every client.
The personalized nature of the practice made Chatterbox therapists wary of “standardized documentation.” Few systems had the broad range of charting templates required for pediatric SLP, yet adoption of the new system has been well received.
“MediLinks makes charting so much easier and is a very efficient use of our therapists’ time,” stated Nikki Bentz, SLP, co-Owner and Chatterbox director of finance.
“The implementation and training of the solution has been very successful, and we have had nothing but positive feedback from our team,” said Kristen Ulias, SLP, co-Owner and Chatterbox director of operations.
“We are delighted that MediLinks has been able to assist Chatterbox in its mission to provide individualized education plan goals and objectives to support the organization’s comprehensive treatment plans,” said Thomas Mann, Mediware president and CEO.
MediLinks was designed by rehabilitation therapy professionals to improve workflow for both hospitals and private practices working in physical, occupational and speech therapy. The system’s unique design gives therapists a 360-degree view of treatments and outcomes and promotes collaboration with plan-of-care and scheduling tools not available in other systems.
