Mediware® Announces KnowledgeTrak 2016 General Release

Latest enhancements expand the system’s speed, flexibility, and ease of use.

LENEXA, Kan., April 28, 2016  Mediware Information Systems, Inc. has released an enhanced edition of its popular compliance, learning, and document management solution, KnowledgeTrak. Now, those in the blood, biologics and cellular therapy industries can manage training, documents, and competencies more easily, more thoroughly, and in less time.

The addition of new functionality that automates “change request deployment” is one of the most time-saving additions to the software. This new functionality significantly reduces the time required to distribute document changes. Mediware also added the K-Book eLearning Course Editor as a standard feature in KnowledgeTrak LMS. With multiple templates and easy upload of photos or videos, K-Book enables trainers to quickly create advanced courses for online instruction.

Other new features of the 2016 release include: survey capabilities, such as course evaluations, for any item; several new reports, including an assignment status report that shows both assignments and completions in a single document; the ability to include employee titles, which better support e-signature requirements; and overall faster performance.

Doug Norvell, KnowledgeTrak product manager, adds that KnowledgeTrak 2016 operates as much as 30% to 70% faster and offers a new feature that will speed the go-live process for new implementations. “With the new ‘Bulk Credit’ feature, users can mark off requirements in bulk based on a variety of criteria, so the go-live starts with everyone being current. There is no longer a need to import records, which will save many hours of work,” Norvell explained.

“Many of these enhancements were requested by current KnowledgeTrak users, so we expect this release to be well received by our customers,” added Thomas Mann, Mediware’s president and CEO.
