Harmony 2008 User Conference Highlights Need for Innovative Solutions to Serve Growing Volume of Consumers with Stagnant Operating Budgets

Leaders from State and Local Government, as well as Private Providers, Discuss the Movement toward Home- and Community-based Services

RESTON, VA – August 25, 2008 – Harmony Information Systems, Inc. (Harmony) the leading provider of integrated case and financial management solutions for the health and human services (HHS) profession, concluded its 2008 International Users Conference held August 20-22, 2008.  The conference focused on the emerging challenges facing HHS professionals including those resulting from an increasingly aging population.

Harmony hosted prominent health and human services (HHS) professionals from state, provincial, tribal, and local governments as well as private program providers from across North America, to a three-day event focused on the complexities of serving a rapidly growing number of consumers with static or decreasing funding.  The “Join the Force of Innovation” conference featured demonstrations and product roadmap discussions for Harmony’s new, off-the-shelf solutions built on the company’s next generation integrated case management platform.

Many sessions focused on how integrated case management solutions allow HHS professionals to better serve consumers through more a comprehensive view of the individual, while minimizing paperwork allowing caseworkers to spend more time serving their clients. Speakers and attendees also demonstrated how integrated case management solutions help deliver consistent care to all consumers while providing a systematic way to measure progress and outcomes.  More than 50 presentations were delivered during the conference which included keynote presentations from Francis A.Burns, Deputy Assistant Director in U.S. Administration on Aging, Bill O’Leary, Executive Director for Health and Human Services for Microsoft State and Local Government, and Bob Blancato, Executive Director of the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs.
