Arkansas Selects Harmony for Aging

Industry’s Most Widely Used Web-Based Software Will Manage the Older Americans Act Requirements Statewide

RESTON, VA – July 14, 2010 – Mediware Information Systems, Inc. (Harmony), the leader in integrated health and human services management, announced today that the Arkansas Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) has selected Harmony for Aging to manage its Older Americans Act (OAA) programs statewide. This announcement follows numerous recent client wins including statewide deals in Indiana, and West Virginia, and Harmony for APS orders in Los Angeles County, and Sonoma County.

“Harmony is happy to welcome the state of Arkansas into the growing list of organizations that rely on our solutions to better serve the aging population,” said Joseph Sander, President and CEO of Harmony Information Systems. “Harmony for Aging is a proven solution that will enable the state of Arkansas to focus on more efficiently serving the elderly by simplifying and automating NAPIS reporting.”

The selection and deployment of Harmony for Aging directly supports Arkansas’s mission to promote the health, safety, and independence of older Arkansans and adults with physical disabilities. Arkansas DAAS selected Harmony for Aging for its proven ability to automate NAPIS report generation and the company’s established track record of success in several of Arkansas’s Area Agencies on Aging and more than 450 organizations including 39 statewide deployments.

Harmony’s suite of solutions is purpose-built to enable organizations to serve more consumers with existing resources via home- and community-based approaches to care. Its on-demand delivery model provides access from anywhere at anytime, eliminates the need for any upfront capital expense and makes it fast and inexpensive to install.

The Harmony suite of solutions is rapidly becoming the standard for aging services organizations throughout the country.  Harmony for Aging is the most widely-used solution in the United States for home and community-based care and is relied on by the majority of agencies across the national aging network.  Harmony for APS, which was introduced in 2009, is already live in three state-wide deployments.  Together, these two Harmony products make up the only fully integrated suite of off-the-shelf solutions for aging services organizations and their web-based delivery model shortens implementation times, decreases upfront capital expenses and provides anywhere, anytime access by case workers.
