Purpose-built system will simplify consumer directed research via Harmony Aging and Disabilities Resource Center software.
Lenexa, Kansas, February 22, 2016-Mediware Information Systems Inc., the leader in integrated health and human services management, announced that the Iowa Department on Aging (IDA) selected Harmony Aging and Disabilities Resource Center (ADRC) software to meet their state-wide “No-Wrong Door” (NWD) initiative.
Once implemented Harmony Aging and Disabilities resource center software will be used by Iowans across the state to identify and select qualified services and state authorized providers. No Wrong Door initiatives serve as entry points to publicly administered long-term supports, including those funded under Medicaid, the Older Americans Act, Veterans Health Administration and other state programs. The Iowa Department on Aging seeks to remove silos and create a single, state-wide integrated network to access information regarding Long-Term Services and Supports. This includes key partnerships with the Department of Transportation, Iowa Medicaid Enterprise, and Iowa Department of Human Services-Bureau of Mental Health and Disabilities Services.
“Harmony Aging and Disabilities Resource Center software will assist the Iowa Department on Aging to empower thousands of individuals and families across the state,” said Todd Bransford, General Manager of Mediware Human and Social Services. “This will help Iowans to quickly breeze through the maze of organizations and regulatory requirements that often confront them when they are most vulnerable. They can quickly identify the services they qualify for and the authorized providers they can select from to deliver the necessary service. Mediware is pleased that the Iowa Department of Aging — an existing Harmony customer — has once again placed their trust in us to bring this powerful tool to the fingertips of consumers across the entire state.”
Mediware’s Harmony Aging and Disabilities Resource Center software has been deployed in over 14 statewide implementations. It will provide a single point-of-entry for Iowans who may start their search for support services from many different state organizations. It facilitates consistent information, call tracking, benefits counseling, options counseling, care transitions guidance and efficient access to Long-Term Supports and Services (LTSS). Once implemented, this solution will offer Iowans a public facing web resource directory that allows for immediate and ongoing collaboration among ADRC providers and partners. To maximize the positive impact on consumers an online pre-screen self-assessment will facilitate service provisioning for them while the Information and Referral module will track and provide valuable data and feedback for the Iowa Department on Aging.
