RESTON, VA—January 26, 2012 – Harmony Information Systems, Inc. (Harmony), the leader in integrated health and human services management, today announced the availability of an enhanced solution for managing Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs). Part of the Harmony for Aging and Adult Services™ product suite, the enhanced ADRC solution features a new Web Resource Center module which will enable states and local agencies to easily implement a consumer-facing website offering seniors, disabled adults, and their family members access to information about available public and private long-term supports and services programs.
“As the ‘one-stop-shop’ for information on long-term care, ADRC’s are important in our nation’s efforts to rebalance care and to provide high-quality home- and community-based services to the aging and disabled,” said Joseph Sander, President and Chief Executive Officer of Harmony Information Systems. “Harmony’s enhanced ADRC solution makes it easy for states and local agencies to provide 24 hour a day, seven days a week access to information that will raise visibility about the full range of long-term care options and empower people to make informed decisions about their care.”
Highlights of the new Web Resource Center include:
- Provider self-service capabilities that allow providers to maintain their own research directory data, such as profiles and service listings, over the web.
- Complete integration with SAMS Case Management to streamline communication with care managers.
- Software-as-a-Service delivery model that allows for rapid deployment of an easy to use, ADA-compliant website to help caregiver and their loved ones quickly and easily find information they need anywhere and anytime.
ADRCs are a collaborative effort of the United States Administration on Aging (AoA) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to facilitate the dissemination of information on available long-term care resources. ADRCs target services to the elderly and individuals with physical disabilities, serious mental illness, and/or developmental/intellectual disabilities. The ultimate goal of the ADRC is to serve as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for individuals with long-term care needs regardless of their age or disability.
