The 2011 Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging (SE4A) will host its Annual Training Conference this fall in Memphis, Tennessee – the birthplace of rock and roll and home to the blues. The conference will take place September 25 – 28, at the world famous Peabody Hotel.

Created in 1973, the SE4A was the first regional Area Agency on Aging and was the model for the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a). The general purpose of the Association is to promote sharing of information among members and to provide a unified voice for the expression of programmatic needs.

The SE4A conducts an annual training conference to address national, regional, and local issues regarding the needs of older adults. The conference offers attendees a great opportunity to network with aging professionals from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and beyond.

The workshops at this year’s conference will include:

  • Promoting Health Aging
  • Long Term Care/Caregiver Support
  • Agency Management/Professional Development
  • Elder Rights
  • Senior Centers/Focal Points
  • Nutrition/Transportation
