Exactly a week behind us, we’re happy to call the 2013 Harmony Users Conference a great success! With more attendees than any year prior, this sold out event drew human services professionals from around the nation to Cincinnati, Ohio from October 23-25, 2013 for the industry’s leading long-term services and supports conference.
Keynote speakers featured Dr. Eric Coleman, Director of the Care Transitions Program, who provided an overview of the Community Care Transitions program and insight into ways community-based organizations (CBOs) can fully engage the family caregiver, improve relations with hospitals, and overcome implementation challenges; and Tina Abbate Marzolf, Chief Executive Officer of the Area Agency on Aging 1-B in Michigan and Harmony user, who spoke about ways her organization is embracing change, innovation, and technology to fulfill its mission to enhance the lives of older adults and adults with disabilities within the community.
Many conference breakout sessions featured Harmony users highlighting successful initiatives and innovative ways they have used technology to improve service quality and meet requirements for new programs including Community Care Transitions, Money Follows the Person, and more.
