Jonathan Wofford: General Manager, Cellular Therapy Solutions
Jonathan Wofford is the general manager for the cellular therapy services division of Mediware. He has extensive experience in the fields of hematopoietic stem cell transplant and umbilical cord blood banking. Prior to joining Mediware, Mr. Wofford spent the last ten years as Bioinformatics Lead for the St. Louis Cord Blood Bank at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Wofford has several years of experience applying statistical theory to evaluate the correlation of patient outcomes with donor and product characteristics. His work has been presented at several industry conferences, he is published in leading industry journals and he has served on several industry committees. He has a great deal of knowledge regarding stem cell transplantation conditioning and management, primarily in the context of a cord blood bank and pediatric stem cell transplant program.
Jonathan was honored by the CIBMTR for outstanding clinical research related to the use of umbilical cord blood for adult transplant recipients. His work has been presented at several industry conferences and published in leading industry journals. Also, he continues to serve on several industry committees, and has been a member of the Cord Blood Transplant Committee for St. Louis University Medical Center since 2006.
In June of 2008, Jonathan was asked to speak before members of the United States Congress by the NMDP for the reauthorization of funding for the organization and the federal initiative for creating a national cord blood inventory. In November of 2008, Jonathan joined the Cord Blood working group for the Stem Cell Therapeutics Outcomes Database (SCTOD).
Jennifer Sander: Clinical Software Specialist, Cellular Therapy Solutions
Jennifer Sander is the clinical software specialist in the cellular therapy solutions division of Mediware. She is responsible for generation of application requirements, software validation and training, as well as acting as the cellular therapy subject matter expert due to her experience in the field of more than years. Previously, Ms. Sander worked at the St. Louis Cord Blood Bank where she gained a vast amount of knowledge regarding the cord blood banking and cellular therapy industries. She served as the liaison between the cord blood bank and the National Marrow Donor Program, managing both internal and external product databases, assisting in the search and export of products to transplant centers all over the world. Jenny has served on numerous industry committees including an NMDP committee established to aid in re-designing and enhancing CORD Link, a database application currently used by the NMDP for the listing and management of cord blood products. She was also involved in a committee that looked at the future of cord blood listing, reservation, and transplant within the NMDP, as well as serving on the Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database working group.
Mike Schopper: Clinical Software Specialist, Cellular Therapy Solutions
Mike is a Clinical Software Specialist in the cellular therapy solutions division of Mediware. He is responsible for business analysis, support documentation, and software validation of the applications developed by this group. Mike has over 20 years’ experience in IT and over 10 years’ experience in business analysis and software testing in the Healthcare area.
Bfore Mediware, Mike was a software quality assurance manager at Argus Health Systems, a leading independent provider of healthcare information management services supporting commercial, Medicaid and Medicare Part D. Mike led teams in analysis, documentation, testing, and training on software applications supporting Pharmaceutical claims processing and adjudication systems within Argus.In addition Mike was in charge of Software Quality Assurance at CSC on the Crossroads WIC program. This project consisted of creating a software solution for administration of WIC benefits for a consortium of four southern states who administer the program. His software methodology experience coupled with his healthcare experience matches very well to Mediware.
