Mediware Ships Version Medication Management 3.1 on Schedule Version upgrade adds Transfer, Discharge, and Clinical Interaction Checks for medication reconciliation LENEXA, KS, March 31, 2008 - Mediware Information Systems (NASD: MEDW), a provider of ClosedLoop™ clinical systems for blood and medication management, announced today that version 3.1 of its Medication Management suite of products is available for all clients.

A key component of the 3.1 version is enhanced capabilities in MediREC, the Company’s automated medication reconciliation product. These additional features include capabilities to reconcile medications at transfer points within the hospital, as well as at discharge. Hospital customers now can electronically prepare and print crucial medication information to enable better patient education as well as to inform primary care physicians on the details of the patient’s medication therapy during the hospital stay.
