Anoka-Metro in MN adopts Mediware's Solutions Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center in Minnesota Adopts Mediware's Solutions LENEXA, KS, February 6, 2007 – Mediware Information Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: MEDW) announced that the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services has expanded its relationship to increase the use of Mediware’s WORx® Medication Management Product for use at Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center. The MDHS supports quality care and services for Minnesotans with physical disabilities, chronic health conditions, developmental disabilities, mental illness, chemical dependency and HIV/AIDS so they can live as independently as possible.
Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center provides inpatient and transitional services to patients with severe mental illness and chemical dependency from the eight-county Twin Cities metropolitan area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne and Washington County). The center offers a 200-bed inpatient mental health facility, a 28-bed chemical dependency center, two 16-bed community based facilities and a transitional community support program. WORx® is an advanced drug therapy management system for all inpatient services that provides comprehensive support for integration, automation, and streamlining the pharmacy workflow. WORx is the pharmacy information management component of Mediware’s Medication Safety suite of products. Other elements of the suite include: MediREC™, MediMAR®, and MediCOE™.
