Mediware Renews Relationship with

William Blair & Company

LENEXA, KS July 28, 2010 - Mediware Information Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MEDW) Mediware Information Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MEDW), a specialist provider of information systems focused on complex clinical solutions for Blood Management, Medication Management and Performance Management, today announced that it is renewing its relationship with its long standing financial advisor, William Blair & Company.

As part of the ongoing agreement, Mediware management will be working with William Blair to explore a variety of strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value. The company routinely performs internal strategic assessments and has not set a definitive timetable for completion of the evaluation. There can be no assurance that the evaluation will lead to any change in operating plans for the company or result in the pursuit of any specific alternative.

As in the past, the company intends to disclose developments regarding this process only if and when material.
